WELCOME!

T&R Fund provides scholarships to fulltime, undergraduate, single parent college scholars in need of financial aid.  We presently have only one program available for the 2012 / 2013 school year.  The program available is the Southern Program for students at UCCS and Pikes Peak Community College.  The Northern Program, covering CU Denver and Boulder as well as the Community College of Denver, was discontinued for new applicants effective the 2012/12 school year.  Scholars in the Northern Program granted scholarships in the 2011/12 school year are eligible to renew their scholarships until they graduate, as long as the minimum renewal criteria are met.

Competition for our scholarships is sometimes intense and not all applicants should expect to be awarded a scholarship.  If you did not win a scholarship the first time you applied, you may wish to try again a year later.

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Program

A minimum of forty $5,000 scholarships (including renewals) will be available to single parent scholars, if you are attending:

  • The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, or Pikes Peak Community College:
  • The following Colorado Community Colleges:
    • Renewal is automatic if you meet all the minimum criteria.
    • Use of funds is not restricted.

  • Qualify for financial aid.
  • Are an undergraduate who will be classified as a sophomore or higher at UCCS next semester or are enrolling in your final year at Pikes Peak Community College in a program that will lead to transfer to UCCS the following year.
  • Your Financial Aid Department is a good source of advice when trying to make a decision whether to apply.

  • A 2.5 cumulative GPA, if at UCCS.
  • If at Pikes Peak Community College, a cumulative GPA equivalent to that required by UCCS under your PPCC/UCCS transfer program.
  • A commitment to timely graduation and full time student status by earning a minimum of 24 degree relevant credit hours per year (fall, spring & summer combined) while in the scholarship program.
