WELCOME!
T&R Fund provides scholarships to fulltime, undergraduate, single parent college scholars in need of financial aid. We presently have two programs that you should consider for the 2011 / 2012 school year. Competition for these scholarships is intense and not all applicants will be awarded scholarships. If you did not win a scholarship the first time you applied, you may wish to try again a year later.
I. The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Program
A minimum of twenty-five $5,000 scholarships (including renewals) will be available to single parent scholars, if you are attending:
II. The University of Colorado at Denver Program
A minimum of fifteen $5,000 scholarships (including renewals) will be available to single parent scholars if you are attending:
In both Programs:
You should consider applying for a T&R Fund Single Parent Scholarship if you:
-
Are a single parent with primary responsibility for raising your children.
-
Qualify for financial aid.
-
Are an undergraduate who will be classified as a sophomore or higher at CU next semester or are enrolling in your final year at a participating Community College program that will lead to transfer to CU the following year.
-
Your Financial Aid Department is a good source of advice when trying to make a decision whether to apply.
Required GPA & fulltime student status criteria to apply:
-
A 2.5 cumulative GPA, if at CU.
-
If at a participating community college, a cumulative GPA equivalent to that required by CU under your CU transfer program.
-
A commitment to timely graduation and full time student status by earning a minimum of 24 degree relevant credit hours per year while in the scholarship program.
Annual Application/Renewal Deadline: The last day of May
